This one takes a dark turn from her previous Bambi and birds work. Could be an interesting new show. Hope so.

ab1, I read the red feather as part of a giant flower. Either way, I remember seeing this in person and admiring the wet-into-wet action.

i don't agree with the "subversivenes" tripe people tagged on, - or the impact on Art in anyway but i can see where they look good on the wall, thinkin there was a realy good (litteraly) sausage party a while back @ Ann Craven at Klemens Gasser & Tanja Grunert, i recall seeing a few key people suckin em down.

Well, the colours sure are pretty.

Seriously though, I am liking the dark violets, blues, reds sitting side by side. For once white paint is handled succesfully and not abused. And that yellow was the perfect choice for little accents...
I wish I knew what these looked like close up, in person.
But otherwise, I am not sure I can really get it up for the subject matter, as per usual. I will have to think about it. I am liking, but am not entirely sure yet why, which is never good enough.

This seems much more intriguing to me than her previous work. It's less reminiscent of birding manual photos, and feels more like a created, weird world. Must see in person, though, to really judge.
